Stevi

"When I go on the news or on a show, and I'm interviewed, everyone says You're a military vet, we want to hear your story!'

But I'm not sure they do. My story is about being raped and

sexually harassed. That's the story I want to be telling. Other women in the military need to hear it."

Navy Veteran Stevi competed in the last two seasons of American Ninja Warrior. She's an incredibly accomplished athlete and public figure, but Stevi struggles with substance abuse.

Most recently, another DUI has landed her in a court mandated inpatient treatment at the VA in Los Angeles. She experienced harassment and a violent assault while serving, and she says the conditions at the VA facility, where she currently lives, mirror the situation which caused her trauma in the first place.

There are few women at the facility, and limited services., What's more, they deal with daily harassment from other residents, guards, and even the program's counselor.

Sara

"The military is a man's world and women are just coming into it. It was structured and built around men, and women have to find a way to fit."

Sara is a medic in the Minnesota National Guard.

She was the leader of her unit, which deployed to Aghanistan in the month before the US withdrawal in 2021. When a suicide bomber went off at the Kabul Airport perimeter. killing and maiming hundreds - including 13 US Marines- Sarah was a first responder on the scene. She copes with PTSD from her service, and is also a survivor of MST.

Yea, let that all that sink in a minute. National Guard from small town USA ends up elbows deep in her fellow battle buddy.

AMANDA

"I knew from the outset that I was at a huge disadvantage, being a woman."

Combat vet Amanda Tallman was an MK19 gunner in Afghanistan. She left the military in 2018. She lives with serious physical disabilities from injuries sustained during deployment.

Amanda is simultaneously recovering from the psychological

scars from her own military sexual trauma at the hands of one of her trusted battle buddies.
